Integrate Health Coaching - What exactly is it?

A health coach partners with people who are seeking to gain control of their health and wellness. This includes both mind and body. A health coach will dig to find the root causes of symptoms or concerns to naturally help the body regain it’s balance. A health coach will utilize functional medicine based lab testing to develop a customized plan of care and meet with the client on a regular basis to assess, motivate, and modify plans or goals to achieve a state of wellness and well-being.

Integrative Health Coaching is for individuals who want to make lifestyle changes to improve their overall health and well-being. So many of us have tried different approaches, methods and even fads only to end up right back where we started. Understanding our own bodies and how to optimize our self-care will lead to lasting, rewarding results!

How do I know if I could benefit from Health Coaching?

Many of the things that we accept as “just part of the aging process” are things that, with proper understanding of the root cause, can be addressed with an integrative approach to help guide our bodies back into balance.

  • Fatigue and tiredness - the constant lack of energy that zaps our vitality
  • Weight issues - difficulty losing weight even after trying many different methods
  • Brain fog- that forgetfulness or inability to focus that drives us all crazy

What does a typical Process and Plan of Care look like?

Integrative Health Coaching is a collaborative process that can help lead you to more vibrant and lasting health. The process of working together may last anywhere from three to twelve months and is an important investment in your health and self-care.

My Health Coaching philosophy is simple - Test, Don’t Guess. Each client protocol is completely customized to address your individual needs. In order to start from a point off actual data, we begin with functional medicine based lab testing based on your top health concerns and goals.

The results will give me the information needed to put together a comprehensive plan of care that will enable you to realize lasting results.

If you are considering health coaching and want to get a better idea if it’s for you, you can schedule a free 15-30 minute consultation to give you an overview and the chance to ask and answer questions.

Once we determine if our styles, goals and skills are a good match, the next step is to schedule your Health Consultation.

Health Consultation
In your health consultation, we’ll meet for 1-1.5 hours to conduct a thorough intake and assessment, identify goals and needs for further testing, and formulate an individualized plan of care based on your objectives. You’ll also choose a coaching package that fits your needs, goals and desired investment.

Knowledge is power and Integrative Health Coaching will uncover the root cause of your conditions and give you the tools and education necessary to achieve your goals!!

Just a little background about me... I am the owner of Health Identity LLC, certified Integrative Medicine Health Coach Practitioner, mother, high-energy adventurist and former corporate executive.

Jennifer Lee I mention that last part because it was an important part of my life that lead me to the healing practices of complementary and alternative medicine. The corporate world can be very rewarding but it can also be very grueling. I experienced an extremely stressful event at work that sent my health into a downward spiral. I experienced the most painful battle with sciatica. I couldn’t stand up straight, was in excruciating pain 24 hours a day, couldn’t sleep and I was nearly delirious. But yet, I had to push through to do my job as a mother, wife and employee. Because my condition was physical, I naturally thought I hurt myself working out or I was getting old and so, like everybody else over 40, my lower back was just getting weak. I tried every therapy, type of bodywork and modality known to man. I spent hours researching and talking to different care practitioners. No one person looked at my condition as it related to my overall mind and body state and my health just continued to deteriorate. I spent months building my “puzzle” piece by piece. Finally, I found a form of bodywork that helped me back to the best shape of my life. It also proved to me that STRESS can cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated issues. Getting to the root cause of my health concerns has changed my life for the good, forever.

My interest in coaching began because of my desire and natural ability to help and motivate other people. Throughout my career, I have been fascinated to learn about the different concepts that make up one’s spectrum of health and how it is so different for every single person. Our bodies are one complete system and care is not as effective when it’s compartmentalized into specific systems.

During my training I learned how my life story had impacted my health for many years. At that time, I uncovered that I was in Phase 3 adrenal fatigue and my hormone levels were low. I was fighting against my body to maintain my ideal weight and was pushing through every day to find the energy to make it to bedtime, only to spend 3-4 hours a night wide awake with thousands of thoughts running through my mind. Making my own health and lifestyle changes to address these issues has required patience, support, guidance and persistence. I have been through it personally and can help put the pieces together to do the same for you.

I am excited to be fulfilling my lifelong mission of helping and motivating others. As a Health Coach, I can arm you with the knowledge and provide guidance to become personally empowered to create vibrant wellness in every aspect of your life…Helping you to discover the real you!
